The Host:The Ohio Valley Golf Association (OVGA) was organized in November 2003 as a way to bring together those who enjoy the game of golf. The OVGA has had over 700 area golfers tee it up during the first four seasons and an average of over 60 players per event during the 100 plus events the tour has staged. Some of the courses the OVGA will play this season include: Walden Ponds, Fox Run, Lassing Pointe and Legendary Run.
A goal of the OVGA is to make a difference in the community. Since 2004, the OVGA has raised $25,000 over the last four years with most going to the Make-A-Wish Association. In 2009, the OVGA teamed with the Building Blocks For Kids to help more children this season.

Building Blocks for Kids (BB4K) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for children with health-related needs that are unmet through traditional means by offering grants, referrals, and alternative resources. Founded in January 2003, Building Blocks has given assistance to more than 150 individual children who, once they are in our system, are fondly referred to as BB4K kids. Some of our BB4K kids have needed help with multiple needs and are allowed to apply for assistance once per calendar year.
